Fake Date dating, forced proximity, and a sports romance…sign me up!
When Hazel Hartly finds out that her ex-boyfriend was recently traded to the Vancouver Storm, she can only think of one thing to do to keep him away from her: fake-date his rival Rory Miller. Rory has been in love with Hazel since he met her in high school and will do everything he can to prove to her that he is the man he needs.
I enjoyed reading this book, and for someone who is still getting into hockey, this series is perfect for beginners. If you have not checked out book one of the Vancouver Storm series, I highly recommend it! Rory is the highlight in this book. When you first meet him in Behind the Net, you only get a small glimpse of who he is, and he shines in this book! I also enjoyed getting to know Hazel more in this book. She is a very strong female lead!
Spice Level: 3
I am so excited for the next book in this series! I give the Fake Out 4 stars. I did deduct points because it was a tad bit too long
