Daughter of No Worlds by Carissa Broadbent Review

ree

For my first Carissa Broadbent novel, this one did not disappoint! I love a good fantasy, and I was about to jump into Serpent and the Wings of Night but I am saving that book for buddying reading with my best friend.

Daughter of No Worlds follows the story of Tisaanah a former slave trying to save her people. Tisaanah travels across the ocean to ask for help from the most powerful organization of magic Wielders called the Orders. However, they will only help her if she becomes one of them. Tisaanah gets paired with Maxantarius Farlione, a fire Wielder who likes to be left alone. Together they train so Tisaanah can prove herself to the orders and save her people.

I enjoyed listening to this book on Libby and the narration of this book was great! I like how strong of a character Tisaanh is, and how determined she is to save her people. I was glad as the book goes on we also hear Max's perspective on the events that go on in the book. If you have finished the Throne of Glass series and want another fantasy to read, I would recommend this one!

Content ⚠️ : This book contains the following graphic violence, discussion of grooming/emotional abuse/rape/sexual assault/sexual abuse, slavery, war violence, and death/grief of loved ones.

Spice Level: I would give this a one. This book is a fantasy with a romance subplot. There is one spicy scene in the book that is closed door.

I am excited to continue the trilogy and super excited to read Serpant and the Wings of Night! I give this book at 4.5!
