As someone who is still trying to learn hockey, this was a cute hockey romance!
Kiss and Don't Tell follows the story of Pacey Lawes, goalie for the Vancouver Agitators as he and his team try to recover from a brutal playoff loss in Banff, Canada. One night a very wet and lost Winnie Berlin comes to the house that Pacey and his teammates are staying in looking for help. Little did Winnie know that the man she was attracted to was her ex-boyfriend's half-brother!
This book does take place during the off-season of hockey, so it is great for those looking to get into hockey romances! Meghan does a great job at building her characters and side characters' personalities, and they do not outshine each other. The banter of this book was giving RomCom and I enjoyed it! Meghan also did an amazing job at selecting her narrators for the audiobook! The one thing I would have changed was the timeline of Pacey falling in love with Winnie, this is a "He falls first and hard" trope and for me, I want the couple to know each other a bit more before seeing the guy fall in love with her.
Content ⚠️: This book contains the following cancer, the death of a parent, and a health scare.
Spice Level: I would give this book a three. The attraction Pacey and Winnie had for each other was very spicy!!!
I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series and getting to know the Agitators more! I give this book a 4!
