My Soul to Keep follows the love story of Rhyson Grey prodigy classical musician turned rockstar and Kai Pearson, an up-and-coming singer and dancer living in LA trying to do the "friendship" thing. I first met Rhys and Kai while I was reading the Grip series...which Ms Kennedy...Bris and Grip have my heart and soul! Anyway back to Kai and Rhys, like most friend-to-lovers stories, Kai and Rhys struggle to maintain staying just friends while fighting the urge to be together.

I adore Kai! She is driven, kind, and loyal and I am excited to see her grow in this series...Rhys on the other hand...I love how he defends Kai...but the way he shows his love is not how I would want it...also his treatment of Bristol made me mad. I know there are still some things they have to work on but THAT IS MY GIRL!


Content ⚠️: This book does contain elements of the death of a parent, mention of drug abuse and child neglect, and a near-death experience not with the main characters.


I give this book a solid 3 on the spice level. I give this book 4 stars and can not wait to continue the series!
